Till Death Do Us Part - A new solo campaign approaches!

Till Death Do Us Part
A TFT Solo Adventure by David Pulver from Gaming Ballistic

The small County of Lorne and the Barony of Prufax faces an impending invasion from the omnipresent orcs from the northwest. The two realms, long-time rivals, have arranged an alliance, cemented by marriage between the two houses.

Lorne's chief retainers must deliver deliver the betrothed (and of course, her lady’s maid) to the altar in time for the wedding. It's a simple escort mission; surely nothing could go wrong.

You can almost hear calm, resonant voice saying "Things do go wrong" in the background.

Till Death Do Us Part is the fourth programmed adventure from Gaming Ballistic, played using the In the Labyrinth rules from The Fantasy Trip(TFT). You won’t need a GM ... but there are plenty of options to play with one if desired. Branching paragraphs direct you from encounter to encounter as you make choices. Three characters are provided: a knight, a mercenary soldier, and a ranger. All are 35 points, making them a bit tougher than the 32-points given to starting characters in the game.

Development Schedule

Initial playtesting and feedback have been VERY positive, and development is well underway. It's written. It's laid out. It has a cover, and all the art is in commission. While print fulfillment is always a toss-up, I expect PDFs to be available promptly.

· Kickstarter Launch: June 7

· Kickstarter End: June 20, 10pm Central Time

· Backerkit Start: by June 30

· Backerkit End: no later than July 10

Tower of the Moon is now LIVE
over 2 years ago – Fri, Sep 03, 2021 at 04:12:56 PM

The Product Launch campaign for Tower of the Moon, a new 16-page Gothic horror adventure, is now live!

It comes in versions for both The Fantasy Trip and Swords and Wizardry

You can browse Gaming Ballistic’s entire product catalog, more or less, on the Backerkit “pre-order” store, as well as select items (in limited quantities) from Steve Jackson Games (dice, GM screen, and some of the core books and sets). There are also a few Dragon Heresy and D&D-based items on sale as well.

A few things have come up as we launch this somewhat unique direct-to-Backerkit campaign as we're an hour or so into it.

PDF Availability: There ARE PDFs available for nearly everything. You might just need to scroll down a bit. The Tower of the Moon PDF is way down in the TFT section. At the end, due to the vagaries of the alphabet.

International Physical Shipping: There is, regrettably, no international shipping of physical goods for this campaign. Please scroll down to No International Shipping...Yet at the Gaming Ballistic Website for why, and more details on how I hope to navigate this in the future.

You can find very (!!) detailed information including live links to all products at the Tower of the Moon Campaign Page on my website. One of the downsides to the Backerkit-only launch is that all the detailed information is in a different place than the web store.

To find out more, including live links at the individual item level, jump to the

Gaming Ballistic Tower of the Moon Info Page

You can also

I'm really curious to see how this project does, for many reasons.

An International "Did not arrive" update
almost 3 years ago – Wed, Jun 02, 2021 at 09:59:25 PM

This is a duplicate of a Character Collections post...but if your international packages never arrived, there's a bit at the end for you:

Just a quick update.

I have everything I need to start moving things out.

The extra copies of Dragon Hunt! arrived in good order. I have all the replacement tiles from the damaged and missing boxes. I even secured an international fulfillment pathway. It's still going to be expensive, but not so much more so, unless there are hidden fees, than I thought.

I have some things to do this morning, but all afternoon I shall be boxing up domestic and Canadian packages (I decided to send those myself after all). Then I'll set aside the international orders, and arrange for a DHL pickup to my new contact in Greece, of all places.

Hope to have everything that can be done by me out by this weekend (ideally, by day's end tomorrow).

If you're also on the More Perilous Journeys "my international order didn't arrive" list (fewer than 10, but that represents a 15-20% delivery fail rate!), I will be sending out replacement packages along with the Character Collections stuff.

I learned my lesson: I will never send un-tracked packages again.

CC1: Experienced Adventurers updated
about 3 years ago – Sun, Mar 21, 2021 at 02:15:39 PM

This update from the More Perilous Journeys campaign concerns the freebie Character Collections 1: Experienced Adventurers.

One of the stretch goals from that project unlocked custom art for the CC1 volume, and I just pushed that download out to backers of this campaign who already have it in PDF.

If you missed the Character Collections campaign, it's not too late: pre-orders are open.

These are the new things available if you have all of my old stuff. If you missed out on the Five Perilous Journeys cards or want Black and White versions of the 5PJ counters...those are available as add-ons.

You can even store them in a spiffy box!

48 Hours to Go: Character Collections final two days
about 3 years ago – Sun, Mar 07, 2021 at 07:38:09 PM

Character Collections: Final Hours

After funding in only nine hours, the Character Collections project is entering it's final two days. We passed the first stretch goal very quickly, and are rapidly closing in on the second at 500 backers.

The first three books are frighteningly close to done already. I've made the inside covers the repository for "print-your own" counter sheets, so that no one has to buy something separately to have the ability to print counters.  I have to go and put some labels on them, to make them easier to use on the battle-mat, and a few can use a bit of line-work to make sure they're clear at 25mm x 25mm scale.

We're closing in on 500 backers, at which point we add Character Collections 4: Wizards to the roster of books. So if you're in at the PDF only levels, you get four books instead of three.

And if you're in at the new Print+PDF levels...you ALSO get the Wizards book along with your pledge for no extra charge. That was a late-breaking addition.

Pledge Levels Added

In case you missed them, I went back and added some Print + PDF pledge levels, as well as an All the New Things and an Everything Old and New pledge.

Note that All the New Things includes counters...and as of this moment, the CE-Mark requirement for import means I can't offer them. I'm going to work like crazy to fix that in the coming week. I have some names and companies that are going to be hearing from me tomorrow.

All of these new pledge levels "grow" as the stretch goals are unlocked. If we pull a Minnesota Miracle and unlock the last two books, then both print and PDFs are added to those pledges, and the decks and counters are added to the All the New Things and Everything Old and New.

All the New Things?

While the "Everything Old and New" is straight-forward, designed for anyone who has TFT but has never backed one of Gaming Ballistic's Kickstarters, the "All the New Things" is less clear.

It assumes you were part of both the Four/Five Perilous Journeys campaign, and got the PDFs, Books, 63-card deck, and the five sheets of counters. It assumes you backed More Perilous Journeys and got the PDFs and Print copies of those five books.

But that's "all." There were no cards or counters as part of More Perilous Journeys (thankfully - 2020 was bad enough without them).

So this pledge level gets you PDFs and Print versions of all character collections. And associated cards (one deck per book), and counters (1-2 sheets per book, depending).

It also gets you the several card decks that make up the More Perilous Journeys cards, plus associated counter sheets.

That's "everything new."

Retail Level

There's also a retail pledge level for you game store owners. Five copies each of just the print books. No PDFs (can't stick those on a shelf), and the cards and counters are not retail items from GB - they're special Kickstarter items.

But still: 10 of the prior adventures, plus all the Character Collections books...at 50% off.

Please Spread the Word

As the campaign closes, it's still not too late to impact the outcome. Sharing the link for the campaign, or this update, on Twitter, Facebook, RPG.net, Reddit, or any other platform of which you're a part can make a big difference. As my swimming coach used to say: "You pull even harder at the end!"

And then we'll take a breather, and I'll get the Backerkit surveys ready. That's when you can choose any a la carte items you want, upgrade your pledge level if you like, and shipping (and VAT for customers outside the USA) charges are assessed. In a real way, that's where the real decisions are made, so look for that survey and fill it out quickly!

Finally, the PDF portion of this campaign is going to happen very quickly. So you won't be waiting long.
