A Dozen to go in the USA...
about 3 years ago – Thu, Feb 25, 2021 at 09:34:34 PM

We're down to 12 packages that are listed In Transit by the USPS; all the rest have been delivered.

If you do not already have your stuff or a tracking number from me or backerkit or the USPS (check spam), go ahead and ping me and I'll send you your tracking information.

Down to the last few.

Messed up? Let me know.

Thus far the books have been arriving in good order. Have had a few issues, though:

  • A copy of Crown of Eternity had Pirate King's insides
  • A sheet was left off Dark Lord's Doom on one copy

These things happen. But that doesn't mean you're stuck. If there are any problems with your order, let me know and I'll get replacements out ASAP.

USA Fulfillment Complete; Rest of World 66%
about 3 years ago – Tue, Feb 16, 2021 at 06:24:15 PM

All of the packages from the USA have been put in the mail. Some have arrived already. One of the late-last-week mailings even arrived in Missouri. And about 215 5-book orders were put into media mail not 30 minutes ago.

Across the pond, all of the UK and "Rest of World" packages - 33 of 50 - are sent out. Royal Mail within the UK is in my experience super-fast, so you guys should be seeing books quickly.

The Remaining 17 packages are destined for the EU countries, but Royal Mail is rolling out DDP service this week, so Kixto is waiting until that happens to put those in the mail, to save everyone a bit of hassle.

As soon as that happens, we're done except for the waiting.

And, of course, the next project. I'm cleaning up the Kickstarter page today, and will post a preview for comments and questions shortly. I hope everyone joins me on this next project as well...and spreads the word far and wide.

Some exciting things coming. Not just books (and three more beyond this if we hit the top 1,000-backer stretch goal):

But you guys have been asking for cards and punch-out physical counters as well.

I will also be collecting the NPCs and monsters and such from the More Perilous Journeys project books, as well as reprinting the 63-card deck from Five Perilous Journeys.

I hope you will follow the campaign - which launches Friday at 10am - and share the link. The more people we can get into the project, the more is included in the basic PDF-only $10 pledge.

See you Friday!

Packages On the Way!! (Some even have been delivered)
about 3 years ago – Mon, Feb 15, 2021 at 08:36:28 AM

We got it done

Yesterday morning, with the help of my children and the motto of Mal Reynolds[1], in the morning we boxed up all 51 orders that had 10 books in them.

Yesterday afternoon with the help of a newly vaccinated longtime friend, the five of us (my family plus H) made an efficient assembly line, packing up 212 physical orders.

Monday is a Federal holiday. That means I'll put all the packages in the mail before 9am on Tuesday.

Within that same time, I expect that Kixto will get the 50 packages leaving by Royal Mail into the hopper as well.

And while I'll still need to deal with any issues, that concludes the More Perilous Journeys kickstarter

Thank you for your patience on this. I feel that the books depart from my hands as good as I could make them. I hope you're pleased as well, and come by for more Gaming Ballistic project work as I launch it.

Character Collection

And as I mentioned in my Financial Overview blog post, I learned a few things over the last 18 months about launching projects.

Of the three Character Collection volumes that are to be available when the project launches on Friday all three are written and laid out. The art for the longest volume, CC3, is finished and inserted. I solved a mental quandary about print-ready counters in a pretty good way (you'll see). The art for CC2 and the CC1 retroactive art stretch goal at 350 backers is underway. That means so long as we fund and hit 350 people, PDFs, books, cards, and chipboard black and white counters will be available and ready for manufacture by the time the month-long project launches.

The remainder of the week will be split between writing the text for the next three books, and starting to make lots of time for my Nordlond Bestiary and Mission X, both Powered by GURPS.

Until then: thanks again for bearing with me thus far. I hope y'all like your stuff.
